Efficiency improvement and up-scaling of perovskite photovoltaics for indoor and outdoor applications

The project involves the investigation of perovskite solar cells fabrication for indoor and outdoor applications based on a method that can be used for industrial production.
The intern will first study the optimization of perovskite solar cells by choosing the appropriate hole transport layer for the device stack provided by Rayleigh. This device architecture can be suitable for many outdoor applications. Then, the intern will optimize the wide-bandgap absorber layer to be used in photovoltaic cells for indoor applications. Afterwards. the intern will upscale the optimized recipes using large-area coating techniques.
Rayleigh Solar Tech Inc. will benefit from this project as it will accelerate the commercialization of perovskite solar cells. Once the scalable process is deemed suitable, manufacturing trials can begin
