The Holistic Case Management – Circle of Care project will focus on creating a framework for staff, practicum students, and volunteers of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Manitoba to utilize in their work. The objective of this project is to ensure that individuals within the organization are equipped to provide support and services to clients in a manner that addresses their unique and individual needs. The framework to be developed through this project is one way this organization seeks to challenge the colonial nature of the criminal justice system by actively engaging with Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing and being. A holistic approach to this organization’s case management framework will be an intentional way to ensure recognition and space for those whose voices are systemically silenced and excluded, and to ensure that clients’ individual needs are appropriately addressed through supports and services that recognize and respect their inherent dignity as human beings.
