Workforce retention and talent attraction are critical components for any organization, as are partner relationships. This research will help the City of Kingston better understand the needs of both their workforce and their partners and will identify their needs and gaps. User profiles will be created to help fully understand the workforce – what attracts them to the City of Kingston and what makes them stay. An inventory of partners will be created to better understand what knowledge gaps exist within the City’s workforce – what are they relying on partners for and are there areas in which the City needs to expand. Recommendations for building and maintaining successful relationships will be created and will help the City of Kingston grow and thrive as a municipality.
