Enhancing the efficacy of pedagogical practices in the context of fine arts instruction in Canada

The mission of Teaching and Learning Research In Action (TLR) is to conduct and disseminate research on effective, innovative educational practices. Recognizing the importance of the arts in higher education, both for students specializing in fine arts disciplines and students who enroll in fine arts courses as electives, TLR is working towards enhancing the instruction of fine arts in higher education based on pedagogical investigation and evidence. The purpose of the proposed project is to conduct market research on post-secondary institutions in Canada that are engaged in fine arts instruction. This information will be used to inform TLR’s development of pedagogical resources, research, and outreach initiatives directed towards the fine arts disciplines.
