This study endeavors to explore the current state of the art of AI-assisted HAZOP tools and their functionalities, encompassing a thorough analysis of current practices. It will include the compilation of desired functionalities deemed essential for an optimal AI-assisted HAZOP tool, along with the assignment of weights indicating the relative importance of these functionalities. Additionally, the market-available tools will be reviewed. By testing and evaluating demos of existing tools and collaboratively developing desired functionalities in alignment with industry requirements, the study aims to provide actionable insights for the effective adoption of AI-assisted HAZOP tools. Through comprehensive literature review and comparison with industrial partner needs and range of related functionalities, the findings will be synthesized into recommendations tailored to ensure alignment with specific objectives and requirements.
