Exploring Compassionate Care while Scaling Digital Health Innovations

To achieve population-wide benefits, artificial intelligence and digital healthcare tools and services must scale to new settings without losing their impact. Our goal is to identify challenges and facilitators to maintaining compassionate care throughout the scaling process, based on the experiences of 15-20 people with lived/living experience who have partnered on scaling projects. We will explore how compassionate and person-centered care can be preserved and provide patient-informed strategies to guide the scaling-up of these projects. To achieve this aim, the student will help co-conduct these interviews alongside partners with lived experience who have received training in conducting interviews. Interview transcripts will then be analyses, and we will work together as a team to identify and share key messages that will support compassion to remain part of the scaling process.
