GamBit – Brain-Computer Interface Hardware for Adaptive Gaming

Zeuron is a startup developing GamBit, a brain-computer interface (BCI) that lets people control video games using their brain signals. This technology is especially designed for individuals with neuromotor conditions like paralysis or muscular dystrophy, who often face barriers to traditional forms of play and communication. The project will involve two interns—one in computer science and one in electrical engineering—who will help refine and integrate the system’s hardware, signal processing, and adaptive gameplay features. Their work will result in a headset that can detect brain activity in real time and adjust games based on the user’s mental and emotional state. This research will not only help make gaming more inclusive for people with physical disabilities but could also lead to broader uses in assistive technologies and cognitive training. For Zeuron, the project will accelerate product development and bring them closer to market readiness, while supporting Canada’s leadership in innovative, human-centered neurotechnology.
