Haida Tides: Expanding Indigenous-led cultural knowledge sharing through ecotourism

Haida Tide Cultural Tours is an Indigenous-owned and operated ecotourism company based in Masset, BC, Canada. This project aims to upgrade operations and strengthen the overall business infrastructure of Haida Tide through a two pronged approach of first upscaling business operations Haida Tide and second providing training opportunities for both our own staff and other locals involved in cultural tourism work on Haida Gwaii. By upscaling our own operations we will make the business more resilient and set on a path for growth and expansion. Through our training program we aim to support the continued growth, knowledge, cultural competency and sensitivity of both local cultural tourism workers and by extension the many guests and visitors with whom they interact.
