ArrKann Trailer & RV Centre is a third-generation family-owned and operated privately held business. The company has six locations throughout Alberta, and over 130 employees. ArrKann has experienced significant growth over the past four years, adding four of their current six locations, and increasing their headcount by 49%. Recently, the company has developed an IT Strategy. The intention of the strategy is to move from ad hoc IT systems, and support, towards well-designed solutions and processes which will support organizational growth. Over the course of 2022, Arrkann will be working on two major IT migrations, both related to our main server. The server dates back to 2012 and is reaching both its operational end-of-life (hardware) and the end-of-support for its operating system (software).
ArrKann has engaged IT service providers on an ad hoc basis in the past, but due to its recent growth, brought IT in-house last year. The company’s Senior IT System Administrator has quickly become a crucial resource for the company and staff, and the demand for his support services internally, coupled with the scope of these projects has created an opportunity for an internship with the company.
