MBA – Project and Research Intern

The MBA – Project and Research Internship with Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) will provide the intern with an opportunity to learn and research about exceptional governance practices in education field, especially with respect to governance in school boards associations. The intern will get an opportunity to research about the best governance practices in various school boards associations across Canada and prepare research reports to support strategic decision making. The internship will further involve reviewing changes to the provincial legislation and regulations that may impact governance processes (eg. Education Act, Local Authorities Elections Act, Alberta School Boards Association Act). From this project, ASBA expects to benefit from student’s business knowledge, research skills, and problem solving and analytical skills. ASBA expects the intern to bring in fresh perspective to governance research and contribute to data and analytics driven policy making.
