Medicine Wheel Publishing – Orange Shirt Day Book Launch

This project focuses on launching a new Orange Shirt Day book to mark a historic milestone in 2026, signaling the first graduating class of students who have participated in Orange Shirt Day throughout their entire K-12 education. Medicine Wheel Publishing is collaborating with the Orange Shirt Society to create a meaningful book that highlights stories and reflections connected to this moment. The intern will help gather and organize stories, assist with editing and design, create marketing strategies, and prepare the book for publication. This project supports Medicine Wheel Publishing’s mission to share authentic Indigenous stories, promote Truth and Reconciliation, and increase access to culturally respectful resources in schools and libraries. It will strengthen Medicine Wheel Publishing’s leadership in decolonized publishing and deepen their impact in educational spaces.
