The shortage of healthcare personnel is a prevalent problem, primarily due to the substantial workloads caused by the novel Coronavirus strain. Moreover, due to the overwhelming and extremely dynamic situation in the healthcare industry caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, staff scheduling becomes very crucial. This research project in collaboration with the MeshAI.io platform intends to propose an automated staff scheduler in the healthcare industry that ensures stress-free task delegation and smarter staff scheduling decisions in a very short time. The main challenges during such times undertaken by this project are 1) prevent overburn schedules for staff to boost performance, and 2) smart schedule to restrict unnecessary contact among the staff handling COVID-19 and regular patients to limit possible exposure to the virus. This research project can benefit the MeshAI.io platform to deal with uncertainties and challenges in the healthcare industry utilizing machine learning or artificial intelligence with smart human resource allocation.
