Navigating Transitions: Preparing Seniors-Serving Organizations for Change

The ‘Navigating Transitions’ project aims to address the existing gap in knowledge for community-based seniors-serving organizations undergoing organizational transitions, with a specific focus on a seniors centre in North Vancouver preparing for relocation. Currently, no comprehensive resources or guidelines exist to support seniors centres undertaking such moves. The findings from this study will not only assist the seniors centre in its transition but also serve as a foundational study for understanding broader trends, challenges, and needs faced by community-based seniors sector organizations during organizational moves. The ultimate goal is to develop a resource that can guide similar transitions across other seniors-serving organizations, contributing to the sustainability and inclusivity of community-based services for older adults.
