Okanagan WaterFutures

The Mitacs Elevate fellowship will support the WaterFutures Project, a collaboration aimed at creating a 3D game to educate the youth and the public on water sustainability using Syilx stewardship principles. Partnering with UBCO, OCCP, and the OBWB, the game will focus on teaching students and their communities about water conservation challenges and responses through experiential gaming. By simulating real-world water scenarios, the game intends to foster a sense of personal and collective responsibility towards water conservation.
