The proposed project fits within a larger research program at the University of Queensland focused on both engineering novel TAT for a range of oncology targets, as well as developing a nuanced understanding of biological responses to these novel molecular radiotherapies as a function of targeting agent, radionuclide emission type (alpha/beta), exposure time and biological environment (heterogenous tissue populations vs cultured cells). The project specifically will focus on developing biological assays to assess the “crossfire” effect in heterogenous cell populations within tumour microenvironments. This will involve developing and refining methods to probe DNA damage responses, cell signalling pathways and immunological responses within complex biological systems.
