Strategic Analysis: Expanding the Resources of the Refresh Wellness App

Mental health issues are common worldwide and affect people in many ways. In Canada, one in five people are dealing with a mental health disorder. The result of this is high emotional costs to those individuals and their social networks, and high economic costs to the country’s healthcare system.
Refresh Wellness intends to offer a novel approach to preventatively address this ongoing challenge, in Canada and abroad. We are in the process of developing a comprehensive mental wellness platform, the Refresh Wellness App (RWA), that can be used in both individual and workplace settings to monitor and analyze mental health patterns, and generate personalized, research-backed solutions to address them.
The resource section of the app will require preliminary market research before moving to a development stage. Therefore, we are requesting two interns who will carry out a market analysis of the resources already being offered by existing digital mental health platforms. Of those resources that are currently offered, the interns will determine which of those resources have been received well and which ones have not been received well. Additionally, they will identify resources that are presently missing, but are in high demand among people that use these platforms.
