Building off of the previous MITACS funded project titled, Guys’ Healthy Living Atlantic Canada: Bridges Institute and Public Schools in Atlantic Canada, this project proposal continues to partner with Bridges Institute with the purposes of providing boys’ only healthy living groups in Nova Scotia’s public schools. As with any new novel and promising project comes the challenge of long-term sustainability. With this continued funding opportunity through MITACS, we wish to solidify the foundation for the long term sustainability of our work by creating a Guys’ Healthy Living Alumni Working Group, a separate Community of Practice, an online portal for asynchronous facilitator training, and ongoing training structures for Bachelor of Education Students and teachers across the province. Additionally, a strong web and social media presence, along with publication and synthesized PowerPoint presentations will extend our knowledge sharing to the general public and partners.
