TELUS is seeking three interns for the position of IT Automation Developer Intern to address a critical need for operational efficiency within its Wireless & Wireline Network Core team. This team is responsible for maintaining TELUS’s wireless and wireline platforms while continuously seeking innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and improve overall network performance. Currently, the organization faces challenges with manual processes in inventory ordering for wireless numbering, which can lead to inefficiencies, delays, and a higher risk of errors that impact customer experience and service reliability. By automating these processes, the interns will play a pivotal role in streamlining operations, ultimately reducing the potential for costly mistakes and enhancing resource management.
This project will not only address immediate operational challenges but also foster a culture of innovation within TELUS by laying the groundwork for future automation initiatives. The expertise required to solve these problems includes advanced knowledge of Python, familiarity with the GCP environment (including Big Query), proficiency in Google App Scripts, and advanced skills in Google Sheets. Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset will be crucial for collaborating with subject matter experts on the network optimization and numbering team. Through this internship, participants will gain invaluable experience in developing practical applications that support business needs through automation, equipping them with skills that are highly relevant in today’s technology-driven landscape. This initiative will ultimately empower TELUS to enhance its operational capabilities and better serve its customers.
