Visual Analytics for Canadian Beef Producers

Canadian Angus Beef Producers measure, record and have access to copious amounts of data, for a growing number of traits and metrics that are economically relevant. To date, the industry and service providers like the Canadian Angus Association through which data is recorded and analyzed have been limited in the format in which this data is reported. The development and licensing of new, web-based, mobile friendly, on farm management software is making it easier for us to collect information. This project is designed to transform that information into valuable, easily applied, usable, and visual analytics such that Canadian Angus beef producers can make better informed decisions that improve producer profitability, animal health and welfare, and the industry’s sustainability.
