Westland Insurance-People and Performance Intern-Jovenvir

This project involves participation in the benefits research and analysis market. At Westland, we will be starting to revamp our benefit plan this summer and the intern will have exposure to participate in research related to benefits best practice, as well as be involved in learning about costs and implementation procedures. The People and Performance intern will review existing processes and programs, as they relate to time away from work (statutory holidays, vacation, and sick leave legislation) across all Canadian provinces where our offices operate. The intern will research best practices, will recommend changes or enhancements, and will complete a review of Westland’s existing recognition program “making a difference” in order to recommend changes and improvements.
Across all these deliverables, the intern will have an opportunity to practice and develop their skill set in searching for best practices, summarizing and analyzing content, preparing proposals, presenting proposals and possibly implementing approved programs. The intern will work under the direction of two of our People & Performance Directors.
