Stay Safe: Verify Your Emails

We want to ensure you stay protected from potential phishing attempts. If you receive an email claiming to be from Mitacs, follow these simple tips to verify its authenticity:

Check the sender’s address: Ensure it ends with “@mitacs.ca.”
Look for personalization: Genuine emails typically include your name or project-specific details.
Beware urgent requests: Mitacs will never ask you to provide sensitive information or payments unexpectedly.
In doubt, confirm with us! If in doubt, reach out directly to [email protected].

If something feels off, trust your instincts and double-check before clicking. Stay safe and informed!

*You are responsible for paying your student fees on time. Mitacs will not reimburse late fees. You may receive a bill for student/admin fees or UHIP AFTER your internship. You will need to ensure you make all required payments before leaving Canada.
