Welcome to the Mitacs Globalink Introduction videos. These videos provide an overview of each of our seven Globalink initiatives, and are specifically designed for university contacts who work with Globalink.

Some of our program videos reference additional program information that is not currently on our website. These handouts include those program details, listed by initiative.

1. Globalink: An overview 

This video will provide a brief history of the Mitacs Globalink program

 

 

2. Globalink Research Internship (GRI)

This video provides an overview of the Globalink Research Internship (GRI) program. This 12-week inbound research internship attracts senior undergraduates from partner countries to collaborate on research projects with Canadian faculty members.

 

 

 

3. Globalink Graduate Fellowship (GGF)

This video offers an overview of the Globalink Graduate Fellowship (GGF) program. The Fellowship provides financial support to Globalink Research Interns who wish to pursue their Graduate studies in Canada.

 

 

 

4. Globalink Research Award (GRA)

Please note that this program has recently undergone changes. An updated video will be made available in due course. 

 

5. Accelerate International 

This video provides an overview of the Accelerate International (AI) program. The bilateral award supports graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to complete a 16- to 24-week research project with an industry partner abroad and a university in Canada.

 

 

 

6. RISE Globalink Research Internship

This video provides an overview of the RISE-Globalink Research Internship (RISE-GRI) program. The program supports Canadian senior undergraduate students in STEM disciplines to conduct a 3-month internship in Germany under the supervision of a German PhD student. The program is offered in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

 

 

 

7. Mitacs-JSPS Summer Program

This video provides an overview of the Mitacs-JSPS Summer Program. The program supports Canadian graduate students (and, starting in 2018, postdoctoral fellows) to conduct a 10-week summer research project in Japan in collaboration with a Canadian and a Japanese faculty supervisor. The program is offered in collaboration with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
