Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is a new and transformative technology capable of transporting people and goods in an environmentally friendly way. Given its large geographical area, combination of urban and natural landscapes, and challenging topography, Vancouver is in a strong position to become a leader in adopting AAM
technologies. This project will assess Vancouver’s existing AAM cluster, and conduct business cluster/opportunity and market share analysis to identify potential sectors of interest, number and types of businesses (especially SMEs), organizations, academia and civil society that can benefit from AAM. The project will also identify the strengths and weaknesses of Vancouver’s cluster and provide recommendations on how to close any gaps through FDI attraction efforts, policy changes or government support to help position Vancouver as a globally recognized cluster for AAM.
