AI-Driven Role-based Data Retrieval System for Infrastructure Digital Twins

The project focuses on developing a ‘Question-and-Answer’ (Q&A) system over lifecycle information of infrastructure elements (such as bridges), which uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to efficiently search and organize information. The developed system will efficiently search through a large variety of data, ranging from text-based documents to spreadsheets, to provide accurate answers to specific questions. This is vital in construction, where finding the right information quickly is essential and the data sources are dispersed and unorganized. For the partner organization, this AI system brings a major improvement in how they handle and use data, making their decision-making process more efficient. For developing and integrating this technology into Digital Twins, advanced AI techniques will be employed, compared and verified.
