The intern will be supporting the work that we do with businesses. Specifically, she will be working on Market Research, Economic Analysis and supporting our Venture Accelerator (VAP) and Digital Economy: Rapid Response + Resiliency (DER3) Programs. Currently, ICS has a network of about 70 firms, the regional business directory indicates there are over 3000 firms that are open to being contacted. The intern will analyze Markets and firms in order to explore the opportunities that ICS has to expand our network and foster innovation in the north. The intern will also provide support to the delivery of our current programs, the VAP and DER3. She will engage directly with businesses and entrepreneurs on topics such as strategy, marketing, product development and market expansion. The COVID19 pandemic has greatly increased the rate of technology adoption; this has dramatically expanded our opportunity to fulfill our core mandate of fostering technology and innovation, the intern will give us the capacity to explore new sectors and markets that could be served by ICS’s resources and skills.
