Canadian Scientist Speakers Network (CSSN)

Building on the success of version 1.0, the Canadian Scientist Network (CSN) 2.0 project aims to significantly impact the national landscape of science in Canada by amplifying the voices and profiles of diverse Canadian scientists. Under the leadership of Dr. Imogen Coe, a recognized authority in the field of inclusive excellence in science, this project seeks to elevate the visibility and accessibility of underrepresented scientists and engineers across the country.
Dr. Coe, in collaboration with a team of interns from a partnering academic institution and academic partners Dr. Mustafiz and Dr. Borden, will apply an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and accessibility lens to the development of the CSN platform. The platform will serve as a dynamic resource for highlighting diverse Canadian scientist speakers, providing them with opportunities to share their expertise on a broader scale.
The enhanced CSN platform will be instrumental in facilitating connections between these experts and a range of organizations seeking diverse perspectives in science and engineering. This initiative reflects a commitment to fostering a more inclusive and representative national scientific community, ensuring that the voices of all Canadian scientists are heard and valued.
