Designing a Participatory Platform for the inclusion of marginalized communities of Winnipeg

While the City of Winnipeg keeps attracting varied groups of cultural-linguistic newcomers, these groups normally fall behind the walls of the entrenched cultural sector. This project aims to examine and map the process of designing a participatory platform for the inclusion of people who are not the regular target audience of conventional art institutions for Plug-In ICA. This will include direct decision-making, common-curating, and common exhibiting of a people-centered theme through the frameworks of ‘participatory design’.
