Development of an effective antifog solution

The use of mask during the pandemic induces more fogging of the eyewear and demands effective alternatives that can be used by everyone. Currently, there are two categories antifogging mechanisms avaialble:1) changing the environmental factors such as surface temperature, relative humidity & surrounding air flow, and 2) reducing the surface tension of the water droplets so that they spread out in sheets and enhance the wetting behavior. The second option is preferred2 because the application of these procedures represents a more attractive option with an easier and more manageable nature, ecofriendly without the need of manipulating the heat, better cost-effectiveness, and longer-lasting anti-fogging performance. This research addresses the second category, particularly focusing on the antifogging sprays that are effective on a variety of eye glass and goggles.
As the largest supplier of optical goods and accessories in Canada, McCray is acutely aware of the phenomenal demand of antifog both within the eyewear industry and also general demand as a whole. The requirement for basic antifog has increased over a thousand times based on their own sales of existing antifog products to the point that antifog raw materials are back-ordered globally.
