Intelligent systems for social community identification and applications

Social Listening is the act of accessing the many available social networks that exist throughout the world wide web. The partner organization of this research has identified algorithms using existing web technology to evaluate and categorize an interpretive community through the connections of that community?s participants and the context of those connections, including both verbal and visual clues. It will build an intelligent information system and culture equity tool set for social media monitors, marketers and ad agencies, brands and various governments and public institutions. Algorithms for culture community identification by commonalities and anti-commonalities are the core of developing Culture Equity software tools. The objective of this proposed research is to investigate such algorithms with high quality in terms of the algorithms effectiveness and efficiency To achieve the objective, this research project investigate on three different approaches, that is, keyword based classification, machine learning for classification, and classification with semantics.
