The proposed project aims to enhance Alzheimer’s biomarkers detection by developing an innovative business model through the Lab to Market (L2M) program. This four-month initiative, in collaboration with the Innovation + Impact Network of Canada (I-INC), focuses on leveraging the entrepreneurial and innovative skills of participants to accelerate the translation of research excellence into practical applications. Through in-depth interviews with diverse stakeholders, including individuals with Alzheimer’s, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, the project seeks to understand the needs, challenges, and expectations related to Alzheimer’s biomarkers detection. The expected outcome includes a refined business model, incorporating insights gained from interviews, and contributing to Canada’s innovation ecosystem. This initiative aligns with I-INC’s mission to drive research commercialization outcomes and supports its goal of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among researchers, ultimately advancing Canada as a global leader in technology and innovation. The partnership with I-INC provides access to a vast network of resources, mentors, and best practices, amplifying the impact of the project on both the national and international stages.
