L2M – NorthMiRs Market Research

NorthMiRs is developing nanotechnology-enabled gene therapies for the treatment of sepsis. We have determined microRNAs that are dysregulated in septic patients and packaged them into a stable, synthetic, and scalable lipid nanoparticle delivery vehicle. Our lead therapeutic, NM-001, a miRNA replacement therapy for sepsis-associated cardiomyopathy has been shown to be anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and protects organs from injury. Sepsis is a disease with no specific therapies, despite recent advancements. This is in large part due to poor efficacy shown during advanced clinical trials or even after approval. In this project, the intern will conduct up to 100 interviews, focusing efforts on learning about the risks to consider in the use of the therapeutic and the suitability of this indication in order to better design our pre-clinical studies and clinical trials in order to prove the efficacy of our product.
