Nonprofit Business & Accounting Development Intern

Adapt for Education Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Saint John, New Brunswick, dedicated to improving access to post-secondary education for teen and young parents under the age of 25. The organization provides mentorship, financial assistance, and connections to vital resources to support young parents in achieving their academic and career goals. The key challenge Adapt for Education faces is establishing a solid operational foundation as it works toward attaining charitable status. This includes developing efficient accounting and financial management systems, training board members, and refining the organization’s business strategy. This project will help Adapt for Education by implementing structured financial processes, recommending cost-effective accounting software, and enhancing governance, which will strengthen long-term sustainability. Expertise in nonprofit management, accounting, strategic planning, and financial reporting is required to address these challenges effectively.
