Pliteq Business Strategy Internship

The project will involve identifying and analyzing potential high growth and stable markets. It will require conducting research through various construction databases and market sources to address the two opportunities outlined above.

Pliteq has created a team dedicated to growing sales of the GenieMat®Rail product, an acoustic solution with applications to railways. The role will involve working with this team to identify rail projects as well as other government infrastructure projects, where Pliteq’s products have a range of applications throughout any given building. It will require tracking government stimulus announcements across Pliteq’s global markets as well as reviewing construction databases for specific projects.

The second issue will require an understanding of both macro and micro economic factors to determine which geographic markets Pliteq should prioritize. This could include research on government restrictions during COVID-19 and general economic health of the region as well as on the local construction industry and rate of new builds. Pliteq’s sales engineers are each focused on a specific region. Some team members have seen a dramatic slowdown in their region and, in response, have refocused their attention on other existing markets.
