Research on Data and Operation Transformation Techniques

Considering the fact that software is deployed on open devices (such as PCs, tablets, smartphone, etc.), White-Box Cryptography (WBC) that protects security software is becoming an essential technology. In the software security industry, there is an ongoing research on new methods to perform WBC and, more specifically, to design data transformation algorithms that are robust against tampering and attacks in the open software context. This internship will familiarize Irdeto, a software security company, with the new topics and advancements in digital communication and information theory concerning data transformations. This internship also aims to develop new methods and techniques utilizing new literature, as well as integrating the new ideas with the current methods available at Irdeto. Prototyping, documentation and contribution to the literature are essential parts of this internship as well.
