Technical Economic Analysis Framework for Economic Impact Analysis and Technology Readiness Acceleration

The aim of the research is to propose a Technical Economic Analysis (TEA) framework which can accelerate knowledge translation of university-based industry-sponsored research. There are many impactful pathways for knowledge translation, and this research will focus on the commercialization pathway. The motivation of this research project is to apply novel start-up methodologies to the TEA framework. The thesis is that developing a novel TEA framework, with a focus on effective commercialization methods, will aid in increasing the probability of successful knowledge translation to real-world impact. The primary significance of this research can aid universities in attracting industry partners for industry-sponsored research. The secondary significance of the research will be in creating a commercial ecosystem based on university research.
