Saskatoon Society for the Protection of Children Inc. (SSPC), a not-for-profit organization, focuses on providing services to children and families that will allow for the safety of children and the healthy development of families. Previously, the organization was working on a professional rebranding, including a name change. Therefore, this project would include supporting SSPC to actualize and implement the new brand to increase visibility, including transitioning the agency through the name change and communicating with various stakeholders. Marketing the new brand to the public and donors is an important activity. The internship would allow SSPC to establish its messaging in the public view. The organization has resources to make it work, but does not have the knowledge base or manpower in the current staff complement. The internship will provide a strong foundation in this area for SSPC as it represents many hours in an intensive period. An effective marketing plan can help SSPC build its brand awareness and attract more sponsors. The sponsorship and a known brand enable SSPC to assist more families and vulnerable children in and around the Saskatoon area. Providing children with a pleasant environment will benefit our society in the long run.
