Pathogenic infections are responsible for approximately 60% of all hospital acquired infections. In order to help stop the spread, high contact surfaces require chemical additives that sense and respond to the presence of pathogenic bacteria quickly, and neutralize their threat. We are proposing a new form of antimicrobial that can be used as safe, green spray thermally activated coating or alternatively a additive for plastics that make these materials fully antimicrobial.
