Analyse des comportements de déplacement anticipés post-COVID et développement de scénarios futurs plausibles

This project is part of the Canada Research Chair on the mobility of individuals, with a specific focus on understanding the shifts in travel behaviors after the pandemic. Its main objective is to construct models that capture the intricacies of mobility behaviors in a post-COVID world. Employing a diverse range of data sources, including insights gained from surveys, the researcher endeavors to meticulously investigate the behavioral changes throughout the pandemic.
A noteworthy aspect of this research involves the refinement of the survey during the third wave of data collection in 2022. This enhancement includes the incorporation of important questions related to teleworking and online shopping, providing a nuanced perspective on the evolving landscape of mobility.
Anticipated outcomes encompass the development of a sophisticated approach for creating post-COVID mobility scenarios. This involves combining data from regional Origin-Destination surveys with insights derived from the COVID-19 travel survey waves. Furthermore, the researcher is tasked with the estimation of behavioral models, aiming to anticipate the future trends in teleworking and online shopping activities.
The significance of this project extends globally, offering valuable insights that contribute to a more profound comprehension of how the pandemic has brought transformative changes in our travel behaviors and daily activity patterns.
