For 40 years Aspire Richmond has provided exceptional programs and services for people with developmental disabilities, and their families, by offering a continuum of care throughout the lifespan. As Richmond’s largest non-profit social service provider, Aspire helps more than 1000 people with developmental disabilities each year to lead thriving, connected, and happy lives. From infancy through adulthood, we support people with developmental disabilities to define, discover and advocate for their self-determined goals, passions and happiness. Aspire is consistently at the forefront of new program development that is responsive to the changing needs of those we serve. This internship will bring in collaboration work between our accounting and marketing departments. The Accounting intern will work directly with the Director of Finance and will analyze current methods and find a better way to integrate information into the financial statements. The Marketing & Communications Intern will work directly with the Manager of Fund and Community Development to develop an updated communications plan and outreach calendar based on new trends and while addressing a diverse audience.
