Document redaction has long been a heavy manual work. When governments and companies need to make documents available either internally or externally, they would need to hire someone with enough professional background to manually cross-out the sensitive information in the documents. The process is both time consuming and expensive. Thanks to the fast advances in artificial intelligence, it is now possible to develop highly intelligent software tools to redact documents automatically. This is what the research project will primarily focus on, it will be an automatic document redaction tool designed specifically for the tax group in PwC, to process the documents that are to be included in its internal knowledge base.
