Keeping the lights on for over 4 million people across the province takes a lot of talented people doing many different jobs, from working deep in a generating station, atop a power pole, or behind a desk. We’re working on upgrading transmission lines, building new substations, and investing in our hydroelectric generation facilities. It’s our vision to be the most trusted, innovative utility company in North America by being smart about power in all we do. BC Hydro’s Supply Chain function is integral to keeping the business running and the lights on. The Sourcing and Category Management Interns will lead projects aimed at ensuring that BC Hydro is taking smart steps when it comes to what and how we purchase, how we source items, and how we can work more strategically with our suppliers in order to deliver on our long-term vision. The intern on this project will work collaboratively in a professional team, where the focus will be on developing a category management strategy. This strategy will ensure to establish additional suppliers in order to support our future electrification projects.
