Digital Identity Management – A user centric context

All of us use our identity so many times during our daily life. For instance, we use our ID cards or driver’s license as a means of approving our identity, we travel abroad with our passports, we utilize our bank cards for buying merchandises, we use our health cards for health reasons, etc. With the fast growth of digital systems, the concept of digital identity has been brought to attention. This project aims to discover the boundaries for a digital system which respect human rights while providing a framework that let users take control of their identities without requiring them to trust a third party such as government or bank. It will consider the drawbacks and merits of the current systems and tries to propose a novel framework.
