International Japanese Nursing Missions

The objective of this research project is to systematically review and analyze existing literature on Japanese international nursing missions to understand the scope and impact of these missions on a global scale. This will involve examining the various aspects of Japanese nursing missions on global healthcare, including the geographical reach, activities, outcomes, and understanding their broader impact. It will also include examining the barriers and facilitators faced by Japanese nursing teams in diverse international settings, the evolution of their scope of practice, and how the source country, Japan, copes with the loss of nurses towards these international nursing missions. Due to the scarcity of available literature published in English, discussions and insights from experts in the nursing profession in Japan will be conducted that will guide the search and inform this study.
