Research on the technological needs and information and communication technologies needs in Canada’s nonprofit sector and small businesses.

This project aims to research the vital needs of nonprofit organizations, small enterprises and startups in Canada and determine the status and organizational decision-making around information and communication technologies. Further, this project will study the dependence on funding and budgeting around technology and the gaps that appear with these organizations’ need for adequate funding and capacity. The research question is: what are Canadian nonprofit organizations and small businesses’ unique technological requirements, and how can their condition be improved? This project will contribute to helping to build a more strategic practice for choosing and using information and communication technologies. It aims to offer informed choices, work with them to develop their unique strategy and provide a comprehensive solution – from conception to installation to support.
