Russian Nuclear Threats: Deterrence or Blackmail

The research project aims to study the way international laws and politics govern the reaction to nuclear threats in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War. This study aims to investigate the legal and political frameworks in place to deal with the nuclear danger in Ukraine, including international agreements such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty or the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. It will also explore the role of organizations like the United Nations in responding to the Russian threats to use nuclear weapons.
The expected outcome of this research project is to gain a better understanding of the international laws and political frameworks governing the response to nuclear threats, which can help in mitigating the risks of nuclear war and enhancing global security.
