The proposed research project leverages novel 2018-22 data, generated using the GEDI LiDAR sensor aboard the International Space Station. This data is used to advance the science of quantifying forest biomass and carbon storage, to create estimates that coincide with natural asset management decisions.

The proposed project will extend the AI4Buzz (http://ai4buzz.ca/) platform in three ways: social-network analysis, real-rime streaming data analysis, and statistical hypothesis exploration and testing. The platform has been developed in collaboration with CECN through a previous MITACS grant, entitled “A Toolkit For Analyzing Online Conversations for Solutions Based Policy Development” led by Dr. Lefsrud.
