Elaine Dong, a Computer Science intern from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, has found her inner dancer — figuratively and literally — in Montreal as she contributes to research on fuel efficient air traffic management this summer.
As a Mitacs Globalink Research Intern under the supervision of Dr. Hachimi Fellouah at the Université de Sherbrooke, Quebec, Sarahi is contributing to research on the behaviour of airflow around an aerodynamic object within a wind tunnel.
Mitacs Accelerate alumnus Guillaume Brault is the recipient of the second place, $15,000 prize of the inaugural Mitacs Entrepreneur Awards with co-founder Viviane Bélair for their company, Inova Source.

Teledyne was connected to Mitacs... to prepare an application for funding of a large-scale research project valued at nearly $1.7M. The company matched the funds for 15 interns from the two universities to develop infrared technologies for the company’s latest products.
Hailing from Mexico, where he studies Chemical Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, César was introduced to Mitacs through a friend and former research intern. Upon seeing his friend’s photos and hearing stories of the research, he simply said, “I need to go to Canada!”
Originally from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, Jesùs is working with Professor Jacquemet’s team to develop 3-dimensional computer models of the human heart in order to simulate atrial fibrillations and arrhythmias.
