I’ve worked on many solar projects in Canada, but we typically didn’t have enough sun to validate our research findings. The Globalink Research Award gave me a chance to work on a solar project right under the sun and apply my conclusions to the solar simulation model.
Christina’s Accelerate project, under the supervision of Dr. Danielle Marceau and Dr. Marco Musiani, developed a computer model to assess the impact of natural resource development on Alberta’s caribou population.
Globalink interns should try and make the most of this amazing opportunity by preparing for their respective projects before coming to Canada. Chances are that they will face some challenges throughout the course of their project as I did, but I advise them to stay motivated and figure out innovative ways to overcome these challenges.
