Programming Techniques for QUBO Compatible Processors II

The main problem this internship project explores is the selection, conversion, and encoding of mathematical models that pertain to the finance industry for processing on available types of analog optimization processors. This research investigation aims to develop new algorithms and code that take advantage of an analog optimization process which acts as an "oracle" for a classical Turing Machine computer. This will be done by developing methods to translate a range of problems into the ideal form for currently available adiabatic annealing hardware.

Performance and success metrics and impact evaluation of Surrey Innovation Boulevard health tech cluster

Innovation hubs or clusters are widely viewed as powerful engines of economic growth. Looking specifically at biotech cluster, each cluster / innovation hub varies from one another due to their origin and industry, thus each individual cluster needs customized research methodologies and metrics to track their success and impact on the Canadian health, economy and people. To support the recent and rapidly growing novel medical technology market and position Canada as a global player, it is critical to understand the unmet needs and success factors, within such clusters.

An analysis of crowdfunding strategies and underlying psychological mechanism of crowdfunders’ behaviors

Indie Ink, in collaboration with the National Crowdfunding Association of Canada (NCFA), is laying the groundwork for publishing a book about crowdfunding via a crowdfunding campaign that would illustrate to the masses how this new venture is transforming Canada. This research project on planning and executing a crowdsourcing and crowdfunding campaign to gather content and a portion of the funds for the book’s production will be highly valuable for both Indie Ink and the academic community.
