Mitacs provides financial support for eligible expenses, including travel costs, salaries, and other project-related expenditures deemed applicable under the program guidelines. Each program is designed to support projects with a high potential for impact across the natural sciences and engineering, as well as social sciences and humanities research.
Through these grants, faculty members can secure the resources they need to foster multidisciplinary, innovative research while leveraging external funding and institutional partnerships to maximize research outcomes and knowledge dissemination. Mitacs’s programs also promote equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all eligible applicants have the opportunity to contribute to Canada’s research excellence.
